FRUA Chapters in Colorado
FRUA is a national organization with numerous chapters all over the country. Some states have more than one chapter and some states have only one (and some don't have a chapter).
Colorado has two chapters: the Central/Mountains Chapter and the South Chapter. When you join FRUA (on the FRUA National website), you select a local chapter. We currently have members who have adopted from Russia, Ukraine, and the U.S. Our chapter is run by volunteers and always welcomes additional volunteers to be involved in planning events.
The local chapters aim to meet the FRUA goal of providing Hope, Help and Community for Adoptive Families at the local level. We host cultural events and adult educational presentations. Perhaps most importantly, we provide the opportunity to meet with other adoptive familes.
Our Secretary prepares a quarterly newsletter emailed to our members. The Board meets regularly to handle chapter business and plan events.
